The Lifeline header shows your current gold balance. Gold is the in-game currency you earn and spend throughout Scope.

Earning Gold

Gold is earned from completing tasks and other activities. The amount depends on the task's priority and difficulty:

Gold = 1 + priority value + difficulty

Example	Gold
Normal priority, Easy	4 gold
High priority, Hard	7 gold
Critical priority, Hardcore	9 gold

Spending Gold

Gold can be spent on various features, such as:

• Early sub-goal unlocking — unlock goal milestones before their scheduled date
• Logging past habit completions — costs 10 gold per day in the past

Real-Time Updates

Your gold balance updates in real time as you complete tasks — no need to refresh or navigate away.
