Time Periods & Views
The Lifeline organizes everything into four time scales. Every task, plan, and reflection belongs to a specific period.
The Four Periods
| Period | Scope | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Day | A single calendar day | March 15, 2026 |
| Week | Monday through Sunday | Mar 10 – Mar 16, 2026 |
| Month | A full calendar month | March 2026 |
| Year | A full calendar year | 2026 |
You switch between these four views using tabs at the top of the Lifeline screen.
The Four Views

- Task completion progress (e.g., "3/5 tasks done")
- Plan and Reflection journal slots
- Connected goals for that day
- Task list with inline task creator

- Weekly tasks with task creator
Monthly View
Shows one month at a time with navigation between months. Each month card shows:
- Month name and year
- Task completion progress
- Plan and Reflection journal slots
- Connected goals for that month

Yearly View
Shows one year at a time with navigation between years. Each year card shows:

- Connected goals for that year
- Yearly tasks with task creator
Period Card Structure
Every period card (regardless of time scale) follows the same structure from top to bottom:
1. Header
Period label, date, and completion counter (X/Y tasks done). A green checkmark appears if all tasks are complete. A red indicator shows if the deadline has passed with incomplete tasks.
2. Journal Slots
Two dedicated slots:
- Plan — always available. Tap to create a planning journal entry
- Reflection — available near the end of the period. Shows "Available from [date]" until unlocked. See reflection availability for exact unlock dates
3. Connected Goals
Any goals whose time period matches this card. Each shown as a tappable card with the goal name and completion status. Tap to open the goal detail page.
4. Tasks
The task list for this period. Includes all root-level tasks (with sub-task trees) and an inline task creator. Shows "No tasks for this [period]" when empty. Filtered by the currently selected project.
