Goals & Projects
Tasks can be connected to goals to track progress toward bigger objectives, and organized into projects for personal or collaborative work.
Tasks and Goals
Tasks can be connected to goals. When a task is linked to a goal:
- The task appears in the goal's detail page under connected tasks
- Completing the task counts toward the goal's progress
- The goal appears in the Lifeline period card under "Connected Goals" for the matching time period
How Tasks Get Connected to Goals
| Method | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Premade goals | Tasks are automatically created and linked when you adopt a premade goal. As you progress through ordered sub-goals, new tasks are materialized and linked automatically |
| Custom goals | You can manually link existing tasks to goals |
| From goal detail | When you create a task from within a goal's detail page, it's automatically linked |
Tasks and Projects
Tasks can optionally belong to a Project. Projects organize related tasks together, especially for collaborative work.
| Project Type | Privacy | Encryption |
|---|---|---|
| Personal (no project or personal project selected) | Private to you | Encrypted |
| Shared project | Visible to all project members | Not encrypted |
You can filter the Lifeline by project to focus on tasks from a specific project. The project selector appears at the top of the Lifeline.
TIP
Use projects to separate different areas of your life — personal tasks stay encrypted and private, while shared project tasks are visible to collaborators.
