User Guide

This guide covers the everyday tools that power your real-life progress in Scope - habits, tasks, goals, projects, journaling, currencies, privacy, and more. The other half of the app is the RPG layer on top: Game Docs covers that side.

User Guide

What's in This Guide

The User Guide walks through each productivity feature in depth:

  • Habits - the recurring actions that power your soldiers and demons.
  • Tasks - one-off things you want to get done, grouped into projects and linked to goals.
  • Projects - simple buckets for organizing tasks by context.
  • Goals - your biggest ambitions, with sub-goals, linked tasks, and premade journeys that end in a dungeon.
  • Journaling - free-write and guided reflection entries, with optional AI stat analysis.
  • Lifegrid - the day/week/month/year dashboard that ties everything together.
  • Gold, Silver & Wishlist - the two-currency system and your personal real-world rewards list.
  • Real-Life Stats - the seven-stat mirror of how you've been living.
  • Achievements - permanent milestones across every feature.
  • Leaderboard - a global ranking by cumulative XP.
  • Privacy & Data - end-to-end encryption and what stays on your device.
  • Sync - how your data moves between devices without the server reading it.

Where to Start

If you just installed the app:

  1. Start with Getting Started - a walkthrough of your first steps.
  2. Then check the Onboarding Checklist - a short to-do list that surfaces the app's main features.
  3. From there, Habits is the heart of the system - every other feature sits on top.

How the Guide Is Organized

Each section has an overview page that gives you the big picture, followed by more focused pages on specific mechanics or flows. Most features cross-link to the relevant Game Docs pages too - habits connect to soldiers, tasks feed silver, journals grant arena tickets, and so on. The two sides of the app aren't separate; they're the same system.
