Secret Achievements
A handful of achievements stay hidden until you unlock them - you don't know their name, their description, or how to earn them. They're surprises for exploring the app or performing unexpected feats.

How Secret Achievements Appear
In the achievements list, secret achievements show up as:
- A silhouette or placeholder image instead of the real art.
- "???" or a similar placeholder in place of the name.
- "Unlock to reveal" (or similar) in place of the description.
You can see that a secret achievement exists - the system doesn't hide their existence entirely - but you don't know what triggers them until you trip the unlock.
What Stays Hidden vs What's Revealed
Before unlocking:
- Name: hidden.
- Description: hidden.
- Image: hidden (placeholder).
- Reward value: sometimes hidden, sometimes visible.
- Global unlock rate: visible (so you know how rare they are).
After unlocking:
- Everything is revealed.
- The achievement shows up normally on your profile with its real name, image, and description.
Why Have Secret Achievements
The surprise factor
Regular achievements tell you what to chase - they become goals. Secret achievements reward players for playing naturally without optimization pressure. You do something unusual or impressive, a celebration dialog pops up, and suddenly you know there was an achievement for it all along. The surprise is the point.
Common patterns for secret achievements:
- Clever play - something only a few players discover (a creative combat strategy, an unusual habit combination).
- Edge cases - unlikely but real events that happen to players who explore thoroughly.
- Narrative moments - reaching a specific story beat or combination of conditions that the designers want to acknowledge.
How to Find Secret Achievements
Since they're secret, you can't "look up" how to earn them. What you can do:
- Play the app thoroughly. Most secrets trigger from natural play rather than specific obscure conditions.
- Try combinations. Some secrets fire from unusual mixes - doing X right after Y, for example.
- Check the global unlock rate. Very-low-rate secrets are genuinely hard; higher-rate secrets are more likely to trigger naturally.
If you really want to know, the Scope community (on Discord, for example) often discusses discovered achievements - though actively seeking spoilers defeats the purpose of the secret.
The Global Unlock Rate
Secret achievements show their global unlock rate even while hidden. This is intentional - you can see "3% of players have this" without knowing what it is. That's a small hint without being a solution.
A secret at 50% unlock rate is probably something most players stumble into. A secret at 1% is something very few have found.
Rewards
Secret achievements grant the same kind of rewards as regular achievements - a one-time gold and XP payout. The reward is often tuned higher than typical single-tier achievements, compensating for the effort of finding them.
