Daily Quests
Every day the Adventure Board posts a fresh set of quests. The initial batch is always four quests - two boss-only and two multi-phase, shuffled into random order. Bonus quests may appear later in the day if you keep winning.

How the Daily Four Are Generated
Generation happens lazily - whenever the app opens or a local midnight rollover fires. If today's quests already exist, nothing happens. If they don't, any leftover quests from prior days are cleared and today's fresh batch is rolled.
The initial batch is always:
- 2 boss-only quests.
- 2 multi-phase quests.
- Shuffled into random order on the board.
This 2-2 split is a hard rule. You'll always see a mix of short fights and longer, more involved ones.
Quest Properties
Each quest is rolled at generation and stays fixed for the day:
- Tier - boss-only or multi-phase.
- Flavor - a name and description drawn from a shared pool of ~100 entries. Flavor is intentionally generic so it works for either tier.
- Journey image - one of 10 fantasy landscapes (beach, burned city, sewer, desert, elven ruins, farm, goblin camp, jungle, mines, snow) used as the fullscreen background during the timer.
- Timer length - rolled within the template's range: 5–20 minutes for boss-only, 20–60 minutes for multi-phase.
- Gold reward - computed at generation and shown on the card before you activate. No surprise.
- Monster squad - generated fresh from the shared monster catalogue. See Encounter Scaling.
The Monster Squad
Monster squads are rolled at generation, not authored per quest:
- Boss-only quests - one boss monster.
- Multi-phase quests - three regular monsters for the soldier phase, plus one boss for the final phase. Regulars are picked with class variety in mind so you don't end up fighting three Brawlers in a row.
Two softening rules apply to boss picks:
- Counter class weighting. If your avatar class has a known hard counter (Knight vs Magical Beast, Wizard vs Flying), that monster class is sampled at half the normal weight when picking the boss - variety is preserved, but forced frustrating matchups are softened.
- Shamans are excluded as adventure bosses. Their support stat profile trivializes 1-on-1 boss fights. Shamans still appear as regular monsters in multi-phase soldier phases.
The Daily Refresh Window
The refresh is tied to local midnight (your device's timezone). Specifically:
- Yesterday's unfinished quests are cleared.
- Any notifications scheduled for expired timers are cancelled.
- Today's fresh batch is generated.
- Your quest passes recompute based on today's habit completions.
An active timer crossing midnight is lost - the quest gets cleared along with everything else.
Skipping a Day
You can skip the board for a day and nothing bad happens. You lose that day's quests and their gold, but the board doesn't accumulate - tomorrow is fresh again. The board is a daily rhythm, not a backlog.
You don't need to clear every quest
If you don't have enough passes or don't want to spend the time, leave some quests on the board. They'll be gone at midnight, and tomorrow's batch is fresh. The only thing you miss is that day's unclaimed gold and drops - no long-term penalty.
